See The World In The New Las Vegas
The Family Place
How would it feel to walk the streets of New York and
Paris all from the same city? Visit the pyramids of Egypt or a Medieval Castle complete
with knights guarding the castle entrance. Walk the streets of Venice or visit its famous
canals. Take a south sea excursion complete with beach and rolling waves. See Rio at
carnival time from South America. Walk the streets of ancient Rome, visiting the merchants
and their market shops. All of this and so much more can be done in one city right here in
the United States.... LAS VEGAS, Nevada.
Many people believe that Las Vegas is just a gaming and gambling town. Twenty or 25 years
ago that may have been the case, but now the town has refashioned itself as a family
vacation site, filled with interesting things to do whether you gamble or not.
Las Vegas offers over 115,000 rooms available to the public (the largest location of
single rooms in the world). The city's slogan is "24 and 7," which means the
city is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Nightly entertainment includes famous
musicians, comedians, magicians and illusionists who regularly frequent Las Vegas
showrooms and play to large crowds. Restaurants like Planet Hollywood, All Star Cafe, Hard
Rock Cafe and the Nascar Cafe have all opened spots in Las Vegas in the last 10 years.
Famous chefs are making Las Vegas a stop on their tours. Some have even made Vegas home
and opened their own restaurants.
Las Vegas has something for everyone. For the sports enthusiast, Vegas features major
attractions such as Nascar racing, boxing, football, baseball, basketball and so on. All
three tours of the PGA play in Las Vegas, and it is the host city for the Professional
Bull Riders annual show. Kids can visit amusement parks, water rides, roller coasters, the
circus, a dolphin habitat and the country's largest video and virtual reality arcade.
Nightly shows present opportunities for the family to watch pirate ship battles, volcanoes
erupting with fire, and laser light shows of more than a million lights that can be seen
overhead for a span of five blocks.
Las Vegas has worked hard to set aside its gambling town image and to emerge as an
environment the whole family can enjoy. See a little bit of the world in Las Vegas - the
family place. Consult your travel agent for prices and availability for your next family
