Before
you get married, you must first obtain a marriage license from the
courthouse. The
Cullman County Courthouse is located at 500 2nd Avenue
SW, Cullman, Alabama 35055. Marriage
licenses are issued Monday through Friday during regular
courthouse hours in the Probate Judges office on the first
floor of the Cullman County Courthouse.
In
order to obtain a license, you will need to have the following
information with you when you go to the courthouse:
You
do not need to have a blood test to obtain a marriage license at
the Cullman County Courthouse.
If
you are 18 years or older, you may obtain a marriage license
without parental consent. If
you are under 18, both parents must accompany you to the
courthouse and be present to give their consent.
If you have only one custodial parent, that parent must be
present with any applicable custodial papers.
Marriage
licenses are good for 30 days from the date they are issued.
Fees:
$41.00 for license only
$48.50 for license and
marriage ceremony
A
marriage ceremony can be conducted in the Probate Judges office
for $48.50. You
do not need a prior appointment for this ceremony.
It can be done Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m.
