Green
Birthplace of Helen Keller |
| General: |
Ivy Green, the birthplace of Helen
Keller, is located in nearby Tuscumbia, Alabama. It is open year around to share the
"miracle" that occurred in the blind and deaf seven year-old Helen Keller's
life. The annual Helen Keller Festival takes place each June and marks the beginning of
weekend performances of William Gibson's "The Miracle Worker" on the grounds of
Ivy Green, which run through late July. |
