Mission:
|
This state agency is mandated to provide
financial aid and social services to needy and disadvantaged citizens, to administer laws
relating to child care and protection, and to coordinate public and private social welfare
activities. |

Services:
|
Financial Assistance Programs: food
stamps, financial aid to dependent children, financial assistance for children in foster
care, financial aid for the disabled, financial aid for the elderly, and emergency
disaster assistance. Other Programs: child support assistance, child welfare services
for abused or neglected children, senior adult services assisting seniors to live in their
own homes as long as possible, and free information and referral services. |
